We innovates on the current technologies of Pumpkin Seed Dehulling and Cleaning Machines Plant and finally find the balance of cost and performance. The machine can be used to de-hull and remove shells of most varieties of pumpkin seeds and melon seeds.
As involving with water treatment, the processing of pumpkin seeds is more complicated than other seeds and nuts. There are totally 7 steps involved with the processing.
1. cleaning seeds
2. calibrating seeds to more than 6 sizes
3. soaking seeds with water, to make the kernels soft
4. de-hulling seeds one size after one size separately(need change the screen under the huller for processing different sizes)
5. drying kernels with sun or dryer
6. fine-separating of kernels to ensure no impurities, including color sorting,etc
7. packing kernels
After harvesting, the seeds may contain impurities like leaves, dry meat of pumpkin, stones, dust, etc. So we use this multi-functional cleaner to sort out impurities. In this part, customer can join the silo with the cleaner directly, or use a elevator to assist.
This part is optional if your pumpkin seeds are cleaned. Or you could choose other solutions like air-cleaner + de-stoner + gravity separator, which are more professional and much higher capacity.
Pumpkin seeds are graded or calibrated by round-hole screen. We usually start from 6.5mm hole. If your raw materials are briefly calibrated, please let us know the mesh size so we can custom-make the screen to meet your requirement and decrease the cost. Usually we calibrate seeds to be 8 sizes(4 sizes for melon seeds), among the sizes, the largest one are for snack use and the smallest one are rejected. So usually we got 6 sizes for de-hulling(4 sizes for melon seeds).
